Mikol is Pregnant?!

It's true! 13 weeks on Sunday 3/23.

We found out in Nairobi at 7 weeks, but have continued doing testing, ultrasounds, and waiting for the 2nd trimester to share the news with the world. We had planned on waiting until we returned before we even started trying, but things worked out a little different.

We're very excited, and excited to be home soon. = D

And the best parts about Portugal...

The real reason we are in Portugal is to visit Lisa O.M., her husband Pedro, and their 9 month old son, Leonardo. They also have a white Lab named Maya who has been fun to play with while we are missing our Loki-dog. It's been quite nice to hop off the tourist wagon for a week and hang out with great friends.

Leonardo Shanti Owsianiak Miguel is a cutie-pie!

Lisa and Leonardo... can you tell? She loves being a Mom.

Almost walking...any day now.

Going for a ride in the car

Tug-of-war with Jeremy

So happy in the car!

Playing the xylophone already

Proud Daddy Pedro and Leonardo really trying to get to that coffee mug before anyone notices!

Such a sweet family.

Portugal Pictures

Portugal has some nice beaches.

Loki is going to be soooo jealous when he smells all the white Lab hairs on our clothes when we get back.

An old Templar church.

Pious folk.

Stylish Templar decor.

We visited an old standing stone.

And were treated to a beautiful sunset.

We leave in Portugal in three days to go visit London, and Shonn and Nathalie. After that, the Bahamas! We'll be home on the 31st, and can't wait to see our San Francisco family again!

Paris Pictures

The obligatory Eiffel Tower visit.

Mikol was enamored with these tiny little cars.

The Louvre was pretty amazing.

The Venus de Milo.

And other cool statues.

Jeremy loved this tiny detail of a much much larger painting.

Paris and Egypt had some similarities.

Pyramids...

... and an Obelisk, from Pharaoh Ramses II.

Notre Dame...

... and the crazy pigeon man seated outside.

The stained glass windows were amazing.

Pretty much everything about Notre Dame was amazing really.

Paris at night in the Montmartre section of town.

Next up, and potentially the last photos before we return, some adventures in Lagos, Portugal.

Israel Pictures

Mikol and Jeremy, under the sea.

Masada

There were lots of fun statues at Masada to pose with.

And be silly with.

The remains of an ancient Roman campsite from 72 CE.

Playing around in the Dead Sea.

Neither of us is touching ground. You can float, standing up. It's pretty wild.

The photos got out of order, but we believe this is the Jordanian border.

The Syrian border.

This hill monitors Syria, and can listen in to everything thier pilots say...

..via all this high-tech monitoring equipment.

It's fun to play near warzones!

In a bunker, looking into Lebanon at the Lebanon border...

.. at some flags, including one for Hezbollah.

Touring the Stations of the Cross. This was where Veronica wiped Jesus' face with her veil.

This is where they washed the body of Jesus before burial.

Jerusalem skyline.

Having lunch, we saw a peacock!

Soooo pretty!

Next up, Paris!
